Heart to Heart - women mentoring women
Purpose: To obey the biblical mandate found in Titus 2:3-5, for older women to encourage the younger women to grow in godliness.
Time Line:
May 29th at 7:00pm at the Peoples’ house – book club Spiritual Mothering by Susan Hunt
June – book club Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney
July – those interested fill out application & questionnaire
August – follow up with those interested
September – host Heart to Heart event to formally pair up women and kick-off ministry
After September –
- Participation on the program requires a commitment to the assigned mentor/mentoree relationship through May 2010. Then we will evaluate pairings. Relationships can continue beyond May, or can change at either participant’s request.
- The Heart to Heart pairs will be expected to communicate at least twice a month. This could be meeting together, talking on the phone, or even e-mailing.
- The goal is to spend time together (face to face) at least once a month.
- We will provide ideas each month for Heart to Heart pairs through a newsletter. This will include church activities they could do together, practical activity ideas, and resources for Bible studies.
- If there are any issues, the concern will first be discussed with Sandra.
