As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
– Proverbs 27:17
Are you a man who wants to be more involved in missions and ministry? Do you want to make a difference for Christ in your family, church, and community? The Men’s Ministry of Stewartstown Baptist Church has formed a dynamic, active men’s group that addresses these issues in several ways:
Reaching Inward – Men Growing In Christ (John 15:5)
Men need to grow in their relationship with God. Obviously each of us can do this in a variety of ways, including personal quiet time where we meditate on God’s Word and pray. We can be helped in this journey through Bible studies and prayer groups, men’s retreats, mutual encouragement, and holding one another accountable.
Reaching Outward – Men on Mission for Christ (Matthew 9:37-38)
Men need to move out beyond themselves and their group to get involved in missions in the name of Jesus Christ. The Men’s Ministry is seeking ways to reach Stewartstown, the surrounding communities, and the world—challenging men to live a mission lifestyle. Possibilities include short term mission projects, church construction mission projects, disaster relief, and assisting God’s Girls and the Youth.
Reaching Men – Men Sharing Christ (1 Corinthians 9:22)
Men need to be sharing their faith and introducing others to a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Stewartstown Baptist Church men’s group is working to find effective ways to bring others to Jesus. Recreational and family activities are used as opportunities to demonstrate Christ’s love, and participation in various other activities are sought that will bring us in a positive relationship with seekers.
